Angela Scott Abdur-Rasheed is an Alabama native currently serving as President of The Amplify Agency, LLC, a consulting firm amplifying workforce development, public relations, and literary works. She’s simultaneously Communications and Community Engagement Director at Prosper. Prior to that, she was Senior Director of Economic Empowerment at YWCA Central Alabama, and has lent her gifts to corporate marketing, full-time ministry, as a TV/radio broadcaster and as the first publicist for Comedian Rickey Smiley.

Angela is regularly sought to facilitate training on topics like communications strategies, recruitment, nonprofit management, business etiquette and national service. She has served with, trained for, or trained under more than 30 local and national organizations and enjoys writing books in her spare time. She is a graduate of Leadership Birmingham class of 2023 and was honored as one of the Top Women for 2022 by Birmingham Business Journal.
